Clougha Pike Races at Quernmore Sports Sat 18th June 2016 - UPDATE - Juniors Age on Jan 1st
Please note no dogs outside of showfield and start / finish field due to farming restrictions.
Please note - parents / guardians must supervise their children crossing the road before and after the race. We can accept no responsibility whatsoever for your children on the road crossing
Please bring kit - Cagoule and leggins if wet or cloudy. Junior races and finish on top side of road (East side).
Under 8 race (6 or over) - 1pm; Under 10 race - 1.15pm; Under 12 race - 1.30 pm .
Under 14 race - 2pm; Under 16 race at 2.20pm; Junior races start & finish on top side of road, (east) - see website for new map.
Senior race and U18 at 3 pm from bottom of show field. Bring full kit - cagoule, leggins, map, compass, whistle - bring your own map etc. Likely mandatory kit check before registration - No kit, no registration, no number, no run. If weather is good kit rule may be relaxed on the day.

Please note changes to junior races (Maps below). All junior races are on flagged courses in enclosed land. Races are mainly run on rough farmland with interesting stream gullies or rough woodland sections. U14 and U16 will start on the top side of the road and use the senior course to Fell End Farm then the U14 peel off down the hill, to the wood and back. The U16 have another descent, a steep climb then back. Parents need to ensure junior runners are healthy, able and capable of running the courses. If you have any doubts err on the side of caution and don't run.
Under 18 to run with senior race. No access to farmland until race day and bring Cagoule, Leggins, map, compass and whistle. No Kit, No Run. Kit check may be relaxed if good weather. Maps see below - print your own. Please note there are obstacles on the course which all runners need to be aware of - rough ground, tussocks, streams, rocks, boulders, uneven ground etc. If you are not confident to tackle this type of terrain please do not enter the race.

No training on farmland as this is private land. Training on fell access land only. Access from Rigg Lane carpark. Please respect the farmers land otherwise the race will be in jeopardy. No Dogs on course.
Please note minimum kit requirement will be enforced.
Seniors & Under 18y - Cagoule, leggings, map, compass and whistle. maps .
Junior race U8, U10, U 12 top or cagoule. U 14 & U16 at least a cagoule, top and leggins if weather poor.
Remember no kit, no run. Kit checks will take place. Only in warm, sunny and stable weather may this requirement be relaxed.
